About → Process
How we go from first conversation to finished website. Clear steps, no surprises, and support that continues after launch.
Getting a website built shouldn't be mysterious. You should know what to expect at each stage, what you need to provide, and when you'll see results. A clear process means fewer surprises and better outcomes.
Our process is designed around how small businesses actually work. You're busy running your business—you don't have time for endless meetings, complicated decisions, or projects that drag on for months. We keep things efficient and focused.
Every project is different, but the basic flow is consistent: understand what you need, agree on scope and price, build it with your input, launch, and provide ongoing support. Simple steps that lead to websites that work.
Most websites launch in 1-2 weeks. Not months. We work efficiently because we know your time matters. When you're ready to move forward, we move forward.
Here's exactly how it works from first contact to finished website and beyond.
What guides how we work.
Step by step from inquiry to ongoing support.
You reach out through our contact form, email, or phone. We respond within one business day.
Tell us briefly about your business and what you're looking for. We'll set up a time to talk in more detail—call, video, or in-person.
We have a real conversation about your business, goals, and what you need from a website.
This is free with no obligation. We learn about your business, discuss options, and give you honest advice—even if that advice is that you don't need us.
We provide a clear proposal outlining what we'll build, the timeline, and the price.
No vague estimates that balloon later. You know exactly what you're getting and what it costs before you commit. Questions are welcome.
If you want to proceed, we finalize the agreement and collect a deposit to begin work.
Typically 50% upfront, 50% at launch. We start immediately upon receiving the deposit—no waiting in a queue.
We gather the content your website needs—text, images, logos, and any other materials.
We provide guidance on what's needed. You can provide content yourself or we can help create it. This stage often determines timeline.
We design and build your website, sharing progress for your feedback along the way.
You'll see the site develop and can provide input. We don't disappear for weeks—you're involved throughout. Revisions are normal and expected.
You review the nearly-complete website and we make adjustments based on your feedback.
This is your chance to request changes before launch. We want you happy with the result. Reasonable revisions are included.
We launch your website, handling all the technical details of going live.
Domain connection, hosting setup, SSL certificate, final testing. Your site goes live and is accessible to the world.
We show you how to manage your website—making updates, adding content, basic maintenance.
You'll be comfortable making routine changes yourself. We're also available to make changes for you if you prefer.
After launch, we remain available for questions, updates, and ongoing needs.
Our relationship doesn't end at launch. Hosting, maintenance, updates, questions—we're here for the long term.
Simple business websites: 1-2 weeks from start to launch, assuming content is ready. Most of the time is in steps 5-7.
More complex sites: 2-4 weeks depending on scope. Custom platforms with special features take longer.
The biggest variable is usually content—how quickly you can provide text, images, and feedback affects timeline more than anything else.
Commitments we make on every project.
We respond to emails and calls within one business day, usually same-day. You won't be left wondering.
No jargon, no confusion. We explain things in plain English and make sure you understand what's happening.
You'll see your website develop. No black box where work disappears for weeks. Regular updates and previews.
We give realistic timelines and stick to them. If something changes, you'll know immediately.
The price we quote is the price you pay. No surprise fees, no scope creep charges without discussion.
Professional websites that work properly, look good, and serve your business. We don't cut corners.
Projects work best when both sides contribute. Here's what helps us do our best work:
Clear Goals: What do you want your website to accomplish? Knowing your goals helps us build something that achieves them.
Content: Text for your pages, photos of your work/products/team, your logo. The more you can provide, the faster we can build. We can help create content if needed.
Timely Feedback: When we share progress and ask for input, responding promptly keeps the project moving. Delays in feedback delay the project.
Honest Communication: If something's not working for you, tell us. We'd rather know and fix it than have you unhappy with the result.
Decision Making: Someone needs to be able to approve designs and content. If multiple people need to agree, sort that out internally so feedback is consolidated.
We don't expect you to know web design—that's our job. But active participation and clear communication make everything work better.
Common questions about how we work.
Most small business websites launch in 1-2 weeks. More complex sites take 2-4 weeks. The biggest variable is how quickly content is provided and feedback given.
