I started Sunstone Soft because I saw a gap in the Calgary market. On one side, you have big agencies charging $5,000-15,000 for websites that small businesses don't need. On the other, you have offshore freelancers delivering template sites with no local support. Neither serves the typical Calgary small business well.
Most small businesses need something in between: a professional website that represents them well, built by someone who understands their needs, at a price that doesn't break the bank. That's what I do.
I'm not trying to be everything to everyone. I focus on small businesses in Calgary and surrounding areas. I build websites that are good enough to compete with anyone's, fast enough that you're not waiting months, and affordable enough that the investment makes sense.

The Sunstone Soft Story
Sunstone Soft started from a simple observation: small businesses in Calgary were being underserved by the web design market.
Big agencies wanted big budgets for features small businesses didn't need. DIY website builders left people struggling with tools that didn't quite work. Offshore freelancers were cheap but provided no local support. None of these options were great for a local restaurant, contractor, or professional service firm just wanting a solid website.
I saw an opportunity to do something different: provide professional-quality websites at reasonable prices, with local service and ongoing support. No fancy office, no sales team, no account managers—just quality work at fair prices.
The name 'Sunstone' comes from a mineral that reflects light from multiple directions—different angles revealing different qualities. That's how I approach web design: looking at your business from multiple angles to understand what you really need, not just applying a template.
